Why are superstitions bad for human?

The 21st century is called ‘The Century of Reason.’ Many situations that people had been thought as supernaturalness are verified by strict science reasearches and most of them started to think reasonably. However, there are still superstitions that explain nature by supernatural power, such as god, blood type, star, and spirit. I think superstitions are bad for human being to think rationally.

First, superstitions spread false informations to public. Most of them rely on things that are proven as false or science don’t examine closely defenetly. They spread those kind of things to public and sometimes ‘brainwash’ people. For example, deciding people’s personality by their blood types are supersitions that many people believe as true. There is no research at all this is true, but there are rumor that it has proven by many scientific researches. Many people trust the blood-type personality, and examine other people by this standard. It is a very dangerous things, because it can brainwash people. Blood-type personality is decided as false definitely, but many people still believe it. Not only this case, but also many other superstitions are spreading people false informations.

Second, superstitions can damage people. In some case, people sometimes lose their money or even their whole life by superstitions. For instance, there was a case some days ago that people rely on a religious house their whole life and don’t meet their family at all. They don’t go to hospital even if they are very sick. The head of the religious house brainwash people that their god will cure everything on them. For the reason, some people are died or became crazy. What makes them crazy at the religious house? The superstitions. They believe in superstitions that their god is everything in their life and it ruins their life and family. It is one case that superstitions damage people’s life.

Third, superstitions can make people weak. People who rely on them believe that they are very right for them. They might do everything with superstitions and don’t believe they can do alone. For the reason, they can make people weak because they rely on their believe everything.

In the age of reason, it is strange that superstitions still remain on the Earth. I think the reason of existence of supersitions is gap between science and normal people. Experts should teach normal people the scientific facts so that they can get rid of superstitions. Then, unreasonable things will be decreased.
